Kev tells us his musical story in his own words..................

“Went to an all boys school and started playing in bands at age 15 as a way to meet girls although I didn’t meet any that shared my interest in Fender Strats or Sonny Boy Williamson’s harmonica playing. The Canberra music scene in the early 60’s was vibrant and addictive. I got hooked and I’ve been in and out of bands for most of my life. When I close my eyes and think about the what and where of playing music I’m on stage, the band is cookin’ and the crowd is jumpin’. My epiphanic moment was the realisation that music like a lot of things eats itself. Now I’m happily lost in the detail".

  1. I had many good times with Kev when we both played the clubs in Canberra. We had a few nights just messing around, he could swap from lead to sax with equal skill. sorry to see him go. Ray.
